Description
Rea Benedict discusses a grocery store that her sister and her husband owned in Parnassus, a part of New Kensington. As Benedict explains, the store had a customer base mainly comprised of miners, and the frequent strikes in the mines affected the business adversely. Eventually, the financial challenges led to Benedict's sister and her husband giving up the business.
