A Lenox glass gatherer at work. According the photograph's caption, the image depicts 22-year-old glass gatherer George Gowton, whose task is to take an exact amount of molten glass from the furnace. Gowton was trained to be a glass blower at the Mount Pleasant, Pa. plant opened by Lenox Crystal, Inc.
