Line drawing by Frederick J. Osterling of the German National Bank located in downtown Pittsburgh, Pa. This was a proposed design for the building that was not chosen. Instead, a design by the architects Bickel and Brennan was selected and constructed in 1889. The German National Bank that was designed by Bickel and Brennan still stands today located on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Wood Street in downtown Pittsburgh.
