  • View of the Joseph Horne Co. department store, looking north at the intersection of Penn Avenue and Cecil Place. Founded in 1849, the store was built in 1892 with additions and renovations over the years to come. In 1994 the department store was merged with F&R Lazarus & Company (Lazarus). The building is now occupied by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
