  • A pendulum field station in Michigan. The caption states: "A tent is used to protect the equipment from wind and rain. The cradle in which the pendulum unit is securely lashed during transportation is shown on the ground behind the truck. This cradle is bolted to the floor of the body where it suffers a minimum of jolting. The down cover which is placed over the pendulum case during the run is shown beside the tent."
