  • 1936 aerial view of Franklin Township (now Franklin Park Borough), Allegheny County, PA. Rochester Road runs from the left center edge to the right bottom corner of photo. A small section of Nicholson Road is seen in the left upper corner. Numerous farm roads are also shown. The newly built Franklin Township Consolidated School (seen as white area - now Franklin Elementary School) is shown on the left side of Rochester Road in lower left half of photo. The Settlers Ridge subdivision now occupies much of the area on the northern side of Rochester Road. Image faces north and shows the western half of image 45 of flight line 20.
