  • 1936 aerial view of Franklin Township (now Franklin Park Borough), Allegheny County, PA. Shown are Warrendale-Bayne Road in upper left corner and Big Sewickley Creek Road that runs left to right. The 1833 Pittsburgh-Rochester Road is seen as a thin ribbon entering from the top left edge of image and crossing Warrendale-Bayne Road before running parallel to Big Sewickley Creek Road. The early road was abandoned upon completion of Big Sewickley Creek Road in 1925. Image faces north and shows the western half of image 50 of flight line 17.
