Description
A painting of the Four Mile House. Caption reads: "The stone block Fourmile House tavern, built by Peter Ivory, Sr., in 1819, stood by a single track dirt Perrysville Road. This picture was painted by an itinerate painter who, doubtless, received a nights lodging for his art." The house was located in Franklin Township (Franklin Park Borough), Allegheny County, PA.
