Description
The Franklin Township Honor Roll for WWII servicemen as it appeared during a 1950s Memorial Day program. Originally built in 1943, it was dedicated in 1944 on the front lawn of Franklin Elementary School on Rochester Road in Franklin Park Borough, Allegheny County, PA. The bronze plaque has since been relocated to the school's main entrance. Photo shows a bronze plaque and eagle attached to a stone monument that stands in front of an elementary school. Small flags line the walkway approaching the monument. The monument was paid for with donations collected by the local woman's club and fire company.
