Description
The Hotel Eberhardt or 5 Mile House stood on Perry Highway at the intersection with Bellevue Road at the edge of West View Borough in Ross Township, Allegheny County, PA. Built circa 1830, it burned in 1970 and was replaced by a gasoline station. The photo shows a two story clapboard structure with a covered porch extending the length of the building. Hanging fromn the porch rood is the painted sign FIVE MILE HOUSE.
