  • The two story stone tavern/inn known as the 4 Mile House was built circa 1819 by Peter Ivory, Sr. on Perry Highway (Route 19) in Ross Township, Allegheny County, PA where it stood until 1964. This view shows a covered porch across the front of the building and a sign advertising a print shop attached to a wood one story addition. The building stood near the intersection of what is now Perrysville Avenue and Ivory Avenue.
