Description
1920s view of West Ingomar Road looking westward through the Ingomar section of Town of McCandless, Allegheny County, PA. The Ingomar Lumber Company (sign visible in the foreground) was owned by Philip Brunn and was located along the tracks of the Harmony Line, which connected Pittsburgh to towns as far north as New Castle and Butler, PA. Much of the land shown was once part of George and Annie Brant's farm, which they sold for building lots. The roadway in the center left is now Valley Road. In the top center is one of the many oil derricks that once dotted the area. Several homes are seen to the left of West Ingomar Road.
