  • Mr. Albert Hartman was a lifetime resident and farmer in Franklin Township (now Franklin Park Borough), Allegheny County, PA. The Hartmans began farming along Reis Run Road in 1864 where the family currently operates greenhouses. Mr. Hartman is shown standing next to a canvas sided truck with running board used for weekly trips to the North (Pittsburgh) Market House and door to door deliveries. Trays of eggs and straw filled wood crates with chickens are seen on the truck along with a banner saying "Farmers Market Mon Wed Fri Sat Eve." A small American flag is attached to the passenger door.
