  • Photo shows an early fire truck belonging to the Highland Firemen's Association (Highland Volunteer Fire Department) located on Highland Road in Town of McCandless, Allegheny County, PA. The truck features an open cab and wide running boards. A siren is attached to the base of the windshield with a hand bell on the passenger's side of the vehicle. Hose reels and lengths of hose are attached to the back of the truck. A hand rail is seen across the back of the truck. Buckets and an extinguisher sit on the running board. Large headlights and floodlights are attached to the front of the truck. A Pennsylvania license plate is attached to the front bumper.
