  • Circa 1940s/1950s photo of a Highland Firemen's Association hose truck which is parked in front of the garage/meeting hall on Highland Road in Town of McCandless, Allegheny County, PA. Tire chains are seen on the rear wheels, flood lights are attached to the cab roof along with a speaker. A siren is attached to the front wheel well and a bell is connected to the front bumper. The fire hall is constructed of concrete blocks and features three garage doors. A siren sits atop the roof and a 1950s pumper sits in front of the new station.
