Description
“Nick the Barber”, as he was affectionately known, was one of Pitcairn’s more unique characters. He first opened a barbershop in Trafford, but eventually moved it to a location on Brinton Avenue, where he served his Pitcairn customers for over 70 years. The picture shows Nick Santangelo and Thomas Gallo at the Gallo Santangelo Barber Shop on the corner of Broadway and Brinton Avenue, in 1928.
