Description
Neighbors congregated at the Thompson farm house for community social events. Square Dances were even held on the living room and dining room floors; a piano and a violin were on hand to accompany the dancers. During WW II, the government encouraged families to be self-sufficient in foodstuffs, and “Victory Gardens, sprang up all across America. What was left of the Thompson farm was sold off to developers in 1946.
