  • Frame dwellings and plank sidewalk along unimproved Compromise Street circa 1905. Located in Allegheny City above the East Street Valley, Allegheny County, PA, looking south toward Pittsburgh. Compromise Street sat above Howard Street, but now overlooks I-279 on Pittsburgh's North Side. Children with dog and two wheeled cart on plank sidewalk. Electric street light visible. Picket fence runs along sidewalk.
