Description
Photo shows laborers laying cobblestones on Butler Plank Road (now William Flynn Highway) in Shaler Township, Allegheny County, PA. A dump truck is seen dumping sand. There is an Etna sports pennant hanging on the front of the truck and the driver can be seen in the cab. Another truck is seen behind the work area. A sign reading "Men at work here, go slow D.P.W. of Ally. Co." is seen propped against a wooden bench in front of the dump truck. The men are all wearing hats, some in suits, some in work clothes. A log house with two chimneys is seen along the road with what appears to be tall fence posts between the road and the house.
